Director George Tilman Jr. explores the role of the non-African American individual in new ways through his film The Hate U Give. While the story is entirely about African-Americans in a rural community, the protagonist has a Caucasian boyfriend. His name is Chris, and plays a minor role in the film. [my thesis about his position as lafjasdklfjladsjfladsfj ].
